Welcome back for a new year of Scottish music!

We will begin this year by playing through some of the tunes in our new concert sets for this year. These are the ones we’ll focus on:

Finale Set 2023/24. (We’ll only play Spootiskerry as a warmup and to focus on new bowings.)

Following our potluck tea and coffee break our scholarship recipient, Katie Hawn, will demonstrate tunes that she learned at Ashokan String Fling last May and we’ll give them a try. Time permitting we’ll have a jam session, playing tunes from our Session Book, unless folks wish to continue playing through our concert sets.

Everyone please arrive in time for a prompt 1 p.m. start.

If you are coming for the first time, note that the rear parking lot off of Fayette St. provides the easiest access. We always try to have extra copies of the music for newcomers.
