The New Hampshire Scottish Music Club was founded in 1988 as the Strathspey and Reel Society of New Hampshire whose motto has always been “Having Fun with Scottish Music.” And that we do!
On the second Sunday of every month (except July and August) we gather at the Concord Community Music School to play traditional Scottish tunes from 1 p.m. until 4:30, with a break for tea and getting to know each other. We welcome all acoustic instruments, all abilities (beginner to professional) and all ages. Our monthly gatherings are always free.
Join us for our next monthly gathering Sunday, Nov. 10th, when the renowned Maine fiddler, and tunesmith, Frank Ferrel, will present a slow air of his own composition, paired with a couple of ‘traditional’ reels, played in Cape Breton .
