March Gathering

  • Concord Community Music School 23 Wall Street Concord United States (map)

Every other year the March gathering is dedicated to playing tunes written by our members. Our Tune Master, Alan Wilson, requests that any original tunes (written or audio) be submitted to him by February 9, along with a brief description of your inspiration for the tune. The tunes will be incorporated into the SMC library.

This gives our member composers a chance to hear their tunes played by the orchestra, and gives the group a chance to hear new contemporary tunes. Some member-composed tunes have made their way into our concert repertoire. You could be famous!

Everyone please arrive in time for a prompt 1 p.m. start.

If you are coming for the first time, note that the rear parking lot off of Fayette St. provides the easiest access. We always try to have extra copies of the music for newcomers, however ear-players are welcome as well.

We typically break for tea, coffee, and goodies at around 3, then continue till 4:30.
